This one day course is for students who would like to achieve a recognised qualification in Food Hygiene. It will enable you to work safely in a variety of settings and is a qualification sought by employers. You will look at food safety hazards and how to reduce these, refrigeration and chilling of foods as well as cooking and re-heating foods. You will cover the principles of safe food storage and examine the role of effective cleaning in a catering establishment. At Havant College an experienced and qualified tutor will guide and support you through the course.
