This pathway is designed to prepare students for a career within zoos or other similar establishments, working with collections of animals such as those found in farm parks and other commercial settings by developing the skills needed to care for, handle and manage a variety of animals. Learners will study modules such as Animal Behaviour, Zoo Animal Health, Exotic Animals, Animal Biology, Welfare and Breed Development, Avian Health and Management, Farm Livestock, and Aquatics. You would normally study the 90 Credit Diploma in year 1, and progress to the Extended Diploma in year 2.
