We offer Eduqas English Literature at A Level. Our first A Level results were 100% A-E pass rate and we aim to build on this success. A Level English Literature is exciting, varied and challenging. Students are provided with the opportunity to read and study a wide range of texts from the literary cannon including: - ‘A Streetcar named Desire’ - ‘Atonement’ - ‘Duchess of Malfi’ - ‘Wuthering Heights’ In addition to the above students are also provided with the opportunity to study a wide range of poetry including John Keats, Phillip Larkin and Carol Ann Duffy. A Level English Literature lessons encourage students to independently interpret a text, discuss ideas with peers and consider critical readings. This is a course which will help to develop a love of reading and analysis skills. Furthermore this course will also develop academic essay writing skills which are vital for other A Level (and University) courses!
