UPDATED 20160224 14:28:57

The year 12 course focuses on Roman history from the time of Julius Caesar through to approximately 150 AD. Students will investigate historical and literary themes using both primary and secondary evidence to enhance their understanding of this significant period. There is also a practical side to the course as students will analyse archaeological remains/artefacts in order make inferences about the past. This involves visits to Roman sites in Britain and abroad. In year 13, students will study a combination of ancient Greek and Roman history. The course is focussed on the 6th and 5th centuries BC in terms of Greece and the 1st century BC in terms of Rome.
