The course helps you to take a broad view of design and technology, develop your capacity to design and make products and appreciate the complex relations between design, materials, manufacture and marketing. You are also provided with the opportunity to design and make a product in both years of the course. You will develop an understanding of the physical and mechanical properties of a broad range of materials and components.
