Economics gives students problem solving tools to tackle traditional economic problems. It also gives a framework for solving everyday problems and difficulties. It is particularly useful for those who wish to pursue careers in the finance sector. The Business Studies element of the course covers a wide range of disciplines any of which might be pursued as a career. Marketing, Human Resources and Accountancy all feature. The course focuses on real world problems of the economy and businesses and uses a wide range of disciplines to analyse and evaluate these problems to suggest the best solution.
