If you want to progress into the aviation industry or you want to study a second year of a level 3 qualification before progressing to higher education, this course is for you. It will give you a detailed insight into the aviation industry and the skills you need to find a job. You will study the following units: Health and safety in the aviation industry, Security in the aviation industry, Flight operations, Handling air passengers, Aviation meteorology for ground staff, The principles of flight, Developing and improving the customer service process, Team leadership. Alongside these programmes you will have a weekly tutorial with your course tutor who will work with you to ensure you are as successful as possible and track your progress. This qualification is awarded by City and Guilds and was developed in conjunction with employers to provide a modern and updated view of the aviation industry. When you complete it you can leave knowing that you have skills which potential employers are looking for. The course will run over 27 weeks and you will complete it in time to be available for summer season work.
