If you enjoy designing and developing IT solutions and are interested in specialising in web design, games, programming or advanced ICT applications, then this course is for you. The course covers 12 units over two years and you will achieve the equivalent of two A-levels. The course is designed for those wishing to make a career in roles such as web designer, programmer, help desk support, games developer, data analyst, network administrator and database administrator. You will learn using different techniques, including: lectures, demonstrations, self-directed study, practical work, tutorials, online activities. You will be involved in work-related simulations to help you gain experience through realistic working environments. A number of learners will have the opportunity to work on projects provided by employers. You'll be able to access resources relating to your course using the college Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle).
