On this course you will develop your skills and creative ideas in a range of materials, techniques and processes working in two and three dimensions. You will work towards improving your English and maths skills On the course you will: - create a portfolio of practical work, - visit galleries, museums and places of interest, - exhibit work in public exhibitions, - be involved in competitions and live projects, - be involved in enterprise activities. The course covers: - sculpture, - ceramics, - textiles, - graphics design, - mixed media, - photography, - printmaking, - drawing, - painting, - research, - illustration. You will study the following: - 2D visual communication, - 3D visual communication, - Working with visual arts briefs, - Working with 3D design craft briefs, - Using ideas to explore develop and produce art and design, - Contextual references in art and design, - Building an art and design portfolio, - Working in the art and design industry.
