Sewing - craft skills

1. Making a shopping bag using standard seams. 2. Making a cushion cover with an appliquee design. 3. Making a simple patchwork quilt. 4. Use and maintenance of the sewing machine. Sewing machines provided but please feel free to bring your own if you have one. A4 ring binder, A4 lined paper and pen. Sewing equipment, see below. Scrap fabric for sample seams. Fabric 1.5m to make a bag. Basic sewing equipment Fabric scissors, scissors for paper, small embroidery scissors, glass-headed pins, hand sewing needles, tape measure and a tailor's chalk marking pencil. More information will be given at the first session.
