The course will cover the main aspects of colour including hue, saturation and tonal value with plenty of opportunity to experiment through exercises and short briefs. You will need to bring acrylics in six main colours cool and warm versions of red, blue and yellow and white. A sample list would be Cadmium yellow and lemon yellow, ultramarine blue and cyan blue, cadmium red and crimson or magenta and white. You will also need a large water pot, brushes suitable for acrylic, a large palette (paper plates or a plastic sheet taped to the table are both suitable), a sketchbook for notes and 200+gm paper (a cartridge type surface is better than watercolour. Please bring a table covering.
