Core units provide the backbone of the course which covers aspects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Additional units allow students to study aspects of Applied Science e.g. (Forensic, Medical and Industrial Science). Other units studied will give you an insight into how the human brain (psychology) and the human body (physiology) works. You will also study how scientists interact with the general public and how society influences science. You will learn in a variety of ways including scientific investigations, research projects, visits to working laboratories, project work, group and individual work etc. You will be encouraged to undertake work experience to gain an understanding of how an industrial laboratory operates.
