Childcare Introduction to Early Years Education and Care, CACHE Level 2 Certificate

This course is designed to provide you with the appropriate education and training to enable you to work with 0-19 years of age and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the sector of children's services. This course focuses on child education as well as subjects such as theory, policy and practice, communication and interaction, playing and learning, child health and law. The programme combines college based study with assessed work-base practice, allowing you to relate theory into your practice. To achieve this course you will be required to achieve 35 credits from core mandatory units and your choice of optional units. You will be required to attend college 1 day a week 10am-12pm. (Day still to be confirmed) This course will be assessed by a combination of work-based assessments and written work. You will be required to put together a portfolio of evidence which will be marked ongoing from your tutors and assessor. All work will then be externally verified by CACHE. This qualification also contains some Level 3 units with the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce, This enables credits to be transferred from this qualification onto the Diploma, providing a direct progression route. Another essential part of the course is a First Aid qualification - price to be confirmed.
