Machine skills - introduction to specialist machine feet - beginners/improvers

This short, three session course would be an ideal complement to existing Clothesmaking courses, and is designed to enable you to get the most out of your sewing machine and to achieve a professional finish to your garments. You will sample various techniques including blind hemming, edge stitching, invisible zip insertion and cording.

Entry requirements

You will need to bring along your own Basic Sewing Kit to include dressmaking pins, needles, a tape measure and fabric cutting out scissors. Please do not bring your own sewing machine, as we cannot accommodate them for Health & Safety reasons. You will be using a domestic Bernina machine, which functions in a very similar way to other makes of machine.
