UPDATED 20160218 13:25:35

Learn the skills necessary to re-upholster and carry out basic repairs to frames for a range of antique and modern furniture using traditional and modern methods and materials. Particular attention will be paid to the correct and safe use of specialist tools and equipment, the selection and use of a variety of furnishing materials and design ideas. Beginners will be able to complete a small footstool or simple drop-in seat chair as a starter project, and begin work on a second project of their choice with guidance from the tutor. Learners with more experience will select and work on a more complex item of their choice- and this would usually be a small to medium sized armchair.
