Floristry - contemporary designs using colour, line & texture - beginners/improvers

This short course will cover a range of modern & exciting design styles and techniques - with a distinctive departure from classic style arrangements. You will experiment with unexplored materials, flowers, foliage, craft items and accessories. The focus will be on identifying and understanding the use of colour, line and texture in your work- and approaching these disciplines with a fresh & contemporary eye.

Entry requirements

You will need to bring your own flowers & foliage for each session, in addition to some florist's materials that may not be covered by the basic fee. The approximate cost of these will be £15-20 per week. You will also need a pair of strong scissors with sharp blades. You will need to bring materials the first session of the course- and you will be contacted by letter to confirm what these will be. If you have not been contacted by letter, please contact the Curriculum Leader or centre for a materials requirements list.
