On this course you will learn a variety of soft furnishing techniques including how to make cushions, blinds, curtains, tiebacks and pelmets, as appropriate to your starting point and project choice. You will be shown the correct way to measure and estimate fabrics, layout, cutting, making-up, pattern matching and hand sewing. In the 10 weeks a beginner could expect to complete a piped cushion with a zip or button fastening, and a small lined roman blind. Learners with more experience will work on more complex projects of their choice.
