Floristry - contemporary funeral designs - beginners/improvers

The course will help you to develop an understanding of the range and suitability of funeral tributes. Designs will include a spray, a grouped wreath and a textured pillow. You will look at the wide variety of commercially available bases and ideas for developing and personalising designs. You will also have the opportunity to explore a more traditional style of based design, using ribbon edging.

Entry requirements

You will need to bring your own flowers & foliage for each session, in addition to some items of florist's materials that may not be covered by the basic fee. The approximate cost of these will be £15-20 per week. You will also need a pair of strong scissors with sharp blades. You will need to bring materials the first session of the course- and you will be contacted by letter to confirm what these will be. If you have not been contacted by letter, please contact the Curriculum Leader or centre for a materials requirements list.
