Glasswork - glass to wear

This course covers a range of techniques in glass fusing to create glass components for jewellery making. You will consider design and experiment with colour and various fusing techniques to produce individualised pieces. You will create a variety of experimental cabochons which will reflect the different techniques covered. You will also be introduced to the microwave kiln to enable you to produce glass components from home.

Entry requirements

A small charge is included in the fee for basic materials and where appropriate a charge has been included for use of specialist equipment. Learners will be expected to purchase drawing equipment, all glass, lead, coloured pencils, base boards and tracing paper. This will be discussed with the course tutor and will not be covered in the course materials fee. Please do not purchase anything before your first lesson unless requested to do so. No liability can be accepted for expenses incurred for a course cancelled/altered at short notice.
