GCE AS Level in Philosophy

UPDATED 20160218 12:49:34

Philosophy AS Level. Philosophy is the exploration of knowledge, existence and ethics through rational argument. You wont just be expected to explore the history of philosophical ideas from Ancient Greece to modern day. Youll also be encouraged to develop your own philosophical arguments and reconsider your deeply held convictions about the world. In the first year you will explore Theory of Knowledge and Metaphysics as well as Philosophy of Religion. In the second year you will develop your work on Moral Philosophy further, as well as completing a unit on Philosophy of Mind. Please note that the course is taught as much through an anthology of texts as it is through lectures and discussions, as well as an online philosophy skills course delivered through video lectures and online tasks.
