AS/A Level Information & CommunicationTechnology

UPDATED 20160219 10:21:08

This modular course encourages you to become a discerning user of ICT and allows you to develop a broad range of ICT skills, knowledge and understanding. You develop your problemsolving skills through the practical application of ICT. It uses a taskdriven approach to problemsolving that relies on the effective use of ICT systems, enhancing your role as a communicator. Although the course has a considerable practical component, we aim to develop your ability to analyse, appraise and make critical judgements about the use of ICT, and raise your awareness of the economic, social and ethical implications of such systems. A2 (A Level) focuses on Information Systems within organisations, and discusses issues such as ICT policy and strategy.
