Who is the course for? A level sociology involves investigating, understanding and evaluating society, people and their behaviour. Sociology covers a wide range of topic areas including sociological theories, research methods and aspects of education, media, family, culture, and crime& deviance What can it lead to? A level sociology can lead to further study at university in a wide range of subjects and careers in Social Work, Human resources, Marketing, Journalism, Law, Teaching, Advertising and Policing What will I study? There are five exam papers on the A level programme. These are: Paper 1: Education with Theory and Methods in Context, Paper 2: Topics in Sociology -Families and Households plus Sociological Research Methods (year 1). In year 2: Paper 1: Education with methods in context, Paper 2: topics in sociology - the Family and the Media and Paper 3 Crime and Deviance with Sociological Theory and Methods
