This Foundation Degree is designed for trainee counsellors and to ensure the needs of trainees, service providers and the local community are met as effectively as possible. One of the major strengths of this qualification is the close collaboration between trainers, the College and counselling placement providers. Equally important is the fact that the programme is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). You will gain necessary skills, theoretical knowledge, ethical understanding and personal awareness in preparation for starting practice placement with clients. Work-based learning involves understanding agency policies and procedures, and how to work with colleagues as well as clients.
