Access to HE Diplomas are well established, national qualifications which allow students without traditional Level 3 qualifications to apply for degree courses and enter university. Our highly successful Access to Nursing course runs over one year and is ideal for students wishing to progress to university, to study on degree courses in nursing and midwifery. The Diploma may also be a beneficial qualification for students looking to go directly into employment (perhaps also in the healthcare sector), where Level 3 qualifications are required. You need to have a genuine desire and aptitude to enter nursing. Universities will expect you to have gained experience working in a healthcare setting and will also require a DBS check. We strongly advise you to have experience in place by the time you begin your Access to Nursing course.
