ALDD - Fun & Exercise

The course will follow a set programme of recreational and vocational activities to encourage, promote and develop your personal skills, confidence and physical abilities. These informal learning opportunities will be delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment by tutors empathetic to ALDD needs. The course aim for this NEW 15 week course is to bring fun into fitness using a variety of different exercises to help maintain a balanced weight and lifestyle. Classes will be held at the newly refurbished dance studio in the gym at our Cheltenham Campus of Gloucestershire College. Your tutor will explain on week one the ideal clothing and footwear to wear for the duration of the course but please come along on week one wearing loose fitting clothing or sports type clothes which will allow you to move freely. Footwear should be a soft type such as a trainer and any long hair tied back. Your tutor will regularly review your activities and offer you support and guidance. You will be encouraged to identify small, realistic and achievable goals to work towards throughout the course and will keep a learning log to monitor your progress and achievement within the group. Lessons will involve recap to consolidate learning. Learners are expected to attend regularly ie at least 80% of the course.
