ALDD - Arts & Crafts

UPDATED 20160212 10:04:49

The course will follow a set programme of recreational and vocational activities to encourage, promote and develop your personal skills, confidence and physical abilities. These informal learning opportunities will be delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment by tutors empathetic to ALDD needs. You will work with a range of artistic media to explore colour, texture and design. You might work with pencils, paints, papier-mache, clay or other materials to design and make your own works of art. Good hand-eye co-ordination will enable learners to participate more easily in the activities. Your tutor will regularly review your activities and offer you support and guidance. You will be encouraged to identify small, realistic and achievable goals to work towards throughout the course and will keep a learning log to monitor your progress and achievement within the group. Lessons will involve recap to consolidate learning. Learners are expected to attend regularly ie at least 80% of the course.
