This course will improve your balance, posture, flexibility and strength. It will contribute to the management of movement patterns and activating core stability.You will learn how to improve your balance, posture, flexibility and strength. Your classes will include the following - A warm up, pulse raiser, barre work and floor work. - Therapeutic exercise will assist stability, balance and postural alignment through focus on the activation of the core stability muscles. - There will be a focus on balance work and strategies for coping with falls with discussions on the management of daily living tasks when in pain. - Some exercises will be adaptations for those with osteoporosis and arthritis. You should wear comfortable clothing and sports shoes. You may prefer to bring your own small towel, cushion or pillow for floor work. You may progress to further gentle exercise or dance classes, tai chi or yoga.
