Building Confidence & Self Esteem

This course aims to introduce life skills that will help to support and build self-confidence. It is an opportunity for the individual to be introduced to life skills that will support them to make constructive changes within their own lives. This course is for anybody who may feel they want to: Increase self-awareness Change thought patterns/habits Focus and build on the positive Examine life style The skills that will be introduced will be a positive tool to support changes based on your own individual needs. The course will explore: ? Skills to achieve constructive change ? Habits, negative beliefs, family patterns ? Positive thinking ? Relaxation/breathing techniques ? Building self confidence ? Life-style - healthy choices ? Reflective diary and its benefits Teaching/Learning methods: ? PowerPoint presentations. ? Hand-outs. ? Group discussion - to share views/experiences. ? Small group/pair work. ? Real life scenarios used to give examples on how changes can be made. ? Suggested additional reading material for further study. ? Useful websites. ? Personal reflective diary. ? ILP to set individual targets.
