Following on from AutoCAD for Designers - Introduction, or for students who have had some experience of using AutoCAD, this intermediate progression course is designed for those seeking to gain enhanced knowledge of the software and to add professional quality to their 2D and 3D drawings. The aim of the course is to practically teach the advanced techniques required to assist you in your career development, using clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and to create a portfolio of work displaying your skills to take to interview, either for employment or further education purposes. The course starts simply and progresses to cover more complex techniques. You will build a range of skills through undertaking a range of drawing assignments and projects, to be displayed and assessed in a portfolio of work. The course covers the following techniques: - AutoCAD Workspaces, Application bar, Ribbon, Tabs, Panels, Status bar - Relative and absolute coordinates - Shapes, Circle, Rectangle, Polygon - Modifying shapes, Grips, Move, Copy, Rotate, Mirror - Layers, Layer properties, Line type, Line weight - Texts, Text styles, Dimensions, Insert Blocks, Create Blocks - Model space, Paper space, Print layout, Viewports - Title Blocks, Scale, Units, Limits, Print setup - Polyline, Arc, Spline, Join, Break, Divide - Trim, Extend, Stretch, Fillet, Chamfer - Offset, Array, Scale, Align, Hatch - Dimension styles, Leader, Tolerance - Grid, Ortho mode, Object snap, Object snap tracking, Dynamic input - UCS icon, Move and edit coordinates, Measure - Introduction to 3D workspace, View cube, Navigation bar, Orbit, Visual styles - Box, Sphere, Cylinder, Cone, Wedge, Torus and Pyramid - Boolean operations: Union, Subtract and Intersect - Extrude, Create region, Presspull - 3D move, 3D rotate, 3D scale, 3D mirror, 3D Align, Gizmo tool - Revolve, Sweep, Twist - Convert solid to surface, Shell, Thicken, Slice - 2D and 3D Section views, multiple view plot setup
