Kick-start your digital career with the BBC Make It Digital programme, specifically designed for young, inexperienced people looking to secure a job in the digital sector. ! You must be out of work - with little to no work experience - not in education - with qualifications below the equivalent of two A-levels to be eligible for the BBC Traineeship. Using training from the BBC Academy, we’ve made sure that many of your favourite BBC programmes are weaved into the Traineeship. You can learn about giving and receiving feedback Bake Off style! And discover Dragon’s Den’s Evan Davis’ top tips on how to survive in the workplace. You can also learn how to use Twitter and Facebook to help your employer attract more customers online. Vacancy Description Get 5 weeks' training and up to 3 weeks' work experience in a digital business with the free Traineeship programme. After the course, there are paid vacancies available for successful trainees. It includes: 5 weeks’ training – full-time classroom training to prepare you for work Up to 3 weeks’ work experience — in all types of businesses across Coventry, giving you the opportunity to put the new digital skills you’ve have learnt into action Job interview – an interview after you’ve completed your placement for a permanent role with that business Ongoing support – ongoing support after your placement to help you make the most of the skills you’ve learnt The Traineeship programme is unwaged, but you will receive £30 per week for travel expenses. After the Traineeship, if you are successful at the interview you will progress onto the paid role. Future Prospects At the end of your Traineeship you’ll have an interview with the company where you’ve been doing your work experience placement, and if successful, you will be offered a paid apprenticeship position. You will also receive a certificate of completion and a letter of reference — great additions to your CV.
