This very well respected A Level gives students the opportunity to study British and German history; two countries with extremely rich and fascinating histories. The breadth unit gives students the opportunity to study how a country such as Germany struggled for over a century to get to grips with democracy and political stability. A Level coursework includes an extended essay on Britain at the height of Empire and her slippery path towards World War I. This unit is highly valued by universities and takes the format of a mini-dissertation; students write and research their own enquiry.
