This course offers you the opportunity to delve into a selection of novels, poetry and plays from the Middle Ages right through to present-day. By studying contemporary and traditional thought-provoking literature, you will explore both the texts themselves as well as received critical opinion surrounding them. Through a combination of class discussion, group activities and independent reading and research, you will analyse, evaluate and compare texts, taking into account their cultural and historical influences.
