Critical Thinking

UPDATED 20161125 15:19:16

Critical Thinking is a skills-based rather than a content-based A-level. It develops the ability to interpret, analyse and evaluate ideas and arguments, and can support thinking skills in all subject areas, from arts and humanities to sciences. Skills developed through the study of Critical Thinking at A-level act as excellent preparation for both students wishing to progress onto Higher Education and those entering the work environment. Students choosing Critical Thinking will learn to recognise, analyse and evaluate their own and others’ beliefs and knowledge claims in a variety of contexts, developing their ability to generate their own arguments and express them clearly.
