Physical Education/Sports Science AS

This course is a combination of classroom based work with some practical units. Students must be able to organise their work and time effectively to ensure that they meet all deadlines. They must be good independent learners that enjoy researching and producing coursework. Five A*-C (including a GCSE PE or BTEC qualification at a grade C or above) and a grade C or above in Science. In addition, any leadership qualifications/experience would be beneficial. The course will include the following units: Year 12 Mandatory units 1-3 (Certificate in Sport in Exercise Sciences) - one AS level  Unit 1—Anatomy for Sport and Exercise  Unit 2—Sport and Exercise Physiology  Unit 3—Sport and Exercise Psychology
