Law

UPDATED 20161018 10:15:39

In the first year students will study how law is made and the legal system as it operates today. The course also introduces the principles and procedures of criminal and civil law. The second year is an in-depth study of criminal law, including the law of murder and manslaughter, as well as the liability in civil law for personal injuries and damage to property. Students develop research and analytical skills, essential for higher education. Any student considering a career in the law should take this opportunity to acquire a sound knowledge and understanding of basic legal concepts prior to studying at university. There is no coursework and assessment is by external examinations at the end of each year.
