Geography is increasingly being recognised as a globally important subject, due to the increasing threat our world’s populations are facing. No other subject studies the in-depth relationships between society and the natural environment and gives students the opportunity to widen their horizons to incorporate the whole world. Geography is welcomed for most higher education courses as it demands a wide range of academic skills required for further education. The emphasis on environmental issues leads towards many new Environmental and Management degrees.
