This course is ideal as a standalone qualification or as a stepping stone onto the level 3 BTEC course or onto an A level course in Media Studies. The course consists of four units (two core and two chosen by the teacher) that are completed over one academic year. Units covered include: Writing for the Media, Research Techniques in the Media Industry, Communication for the Creative Media Industry, De-constructing Computer Games. The course will allow you to be creative, as well as to learn about the Media Industry and to work on a variety of projects using film, creative design packages and the written and spoken word.
