Students will build on their GCSE knowledge of Physics, whether they have studied separate Physics GCSE or Science and Additional Science GCSEs. They will also be introduced to completely new concepts such as Particle Physics and Special Relativity. COURSE STRUCTURE The Lower Sixth year consists of five units – Measurements, Particles, Waves, Mechanics and Electricity. The Upper Sixth year consists of three further units – Further Mechanics, Fields and Nuclear Physics plus an optional unit, with a choice of Astrophysics, Medical Physics, Engineering Physics, Turning Points in Physics and Electronics.
