The new History A Level specifications for teaching next September are still awaiting approval by the government. We intend to teach the AQA syllabus, pending its approval. This will enable us to teach two very dramatic periods of change in History and will also give students flexibility in carrying out research for a third topic of their choosing. AS and A Level students are taught together in Lower Sixth and an easier AS examination on the same material will be taken by all students at the end of the year. The A Level examinations cover all material studied in Lower and Upper Sixth.
