The AS and A2 level courses are designed to increase the range and complexity of students’ language and to develop their fluency so that they are able to discuss and inform themselves on a wider range of topics. COURSE STRUCTURE At AS we will cover topics such as daily life, leisure, media, entertainment, education and training. At A2 we will cover topics of society (including issues such as racism, equality, social problems), science and technology, the environment and specific aspects of culture. ASSESSMENT At both AS and A2 level there are two examinations; a speaking test and a Listening, Reading and Writing paper. At AS, in the speaking test, students will take part in a role play and a discussion of a topic related to Francophone culture and society. The Listening, Reading and Writing paper comprises comprehension questions and extended writing in the form of a summary and giving your opinion. At A2, the speaking test will involve discussion of an article in French followed by a discussion of an A2 topic area.
