This course is offered as a single award certificate or double award diploma. Certificate: Core Values and Services are based around the values of care, service provision and meeting individuals' needs throughout life stages. This includes national policy and financial issues and considering statistics and data analysis. (exam) Employments within the Sectors enable students to gain an understanding of practitioners' roles and what this entails. (portfolio) Diploma: Same as the certificate but also a pre-released exam based on students' understanding of Common diseases, Illnesses and a range of Disabilities. There is also a portfolio where students have a choice of either Human Behaviour or the Ageing Demographic. Why study Health and Social Care at Level 3? The course allows students to develop skills as well as technical knowledge that will provide them with an invaluable and thoughtful perspective on contemporary issues in health and social care. Modules include: • Service provision • Care values • Rights and responsibilities • Care settings • Employment within the Sectors • Disease, Illness and Disability • Understanding human behaviour • The ageing demographic
