The A Level course explores the inter-relationship between the four main behavioural functions of business in more detail and pays particular attention to the strategic decisions that each of the functional areas may take in order to contribute to the success of the whole business. There is also particular emphasis on the external influences on each of the departments of the business, as well as a focus on the business-wide strategic decisions that a firm may make. The module assesses the ability of candidates to use, explain, analyse and evaluate the whole of the subject. It requires candidates to think in an integrated and strategic way about the way businesses operate and the way they react to change.
