This course creates and motivates learners ready for media industry roles – the fastest and quickest growing industry on the planet. There is the opportunity for in depth study of: Film; planning and storyboarding, filming and sound techniques, editing on professional, industry standard software, and the practicalities of being on location. Television; TV Drama, camera work, analysis of directorial style / content, sound and mise en scene, media language, application and editing Magazine; Print advertising, layout, typography, lighting and colour design, photography and style Gaming Technology; types of game consoles and their uses and development—games and their development through the ages, opportunity to develop new games and marketing. Radio; speech, music, sound effects and editing There is opportunity to tailor the course to suit the interests of the individuals so they can follow the medium they favour. Coursework is submitted via blog — no hand written work allowed. Careers: Camera Operator, Producer, Editor, Publishing and Advertising, Sound Technician, Art and Design careers, Film Institute work, Television, Radio, Journalism, News and Broadcast journalism.
