There are four broad areas of study in Year 12 and two units in Year 13, which are outlined below. You will be expected to work hard at all times, research topics, conduct further reading and develop a profound understanding of the world around you. Course Structure: Dynamic Landscapes which includes the investigation of topics such as Plate Tectonics, Glaciated landscapes and Coastal landscapes. Dynamic Places has a range of Human Geography topics within it, such as Globalisation and Urban Regeneration. Physical Systems and Sustainability is the third area of study and includes the study of Water Security, the Carbon Cycle, Climate Change and Energy Security. Human Systems and Geopolitics is the final unit and examines issues such as the changing nature of power (Superpower Geographies) and Global Development.
