Music

UPDATED 20161027 05:44:20

Music can alter our perception of time and is essential to a civilized existence. Studying it introduces you to a wide variety of music composed by classical and popular composers. The study of music helps us understand how it is made and enables us to compose our own music, for which we use problem-solving skills and skills of structure-making. Music develops team-work in ensemble performance and by studying music we make order out of chaos and bring joy to our fellow human beings. The study of music can, to paraphrase Jimi Hendrix, change the world for the better.
