This is a photographic course which allows the students to explore a number of photographic genres, including portraits, landscapes, advertising and image manipulation. Students will work with both silver based equipment and digital technology. The course includes drawing, design, creative use of information technology and historical and contextual understanding. Students are encouraged to take a broad view of photography and include elements of a wide range of Art and Design disciplines in their work. Students additionally undertake Functional Skills in either Maths, English or ICT as part of their full-time course along with Workskills for Art and Design. Student progress is supported by regular tutorials.
