The level 2 qualification comprises of the following core units: Health, safety and welfare in Construction (this unit can be carried forward from Level 1)and Principles of building construction, information and communication. The following subject specialist units are also studied: Preparing surfaces for decoration, Applying paint systems by brush and roller to complex areas, Applying standard papers to walls and ceilings, producing specialist finishes to decorative work, Erecting and dismantling access equipment and working platforms, Creating and applying colour. English, Maths, Health and Well being and 'Employability skills' are an integral part of this Study Programme and will form a substantial part of your timetable for 16-18 yr olds.
