This is a mainly practical course introducing you to a variety of skills within painting and decorating; preparation of surfaces, scaffolding, water and oil based painting, basic wall papering and health and safety. You will produce a folder of work to show both practical and theoretical skills on completion of this course. Assessment will include unit tests for both theory and practical plus external examinations. English and Mathematics at the appropriate level will be undertaken as part of your study programme. Work experience also forms part of your study programme.
