Course Content or Strucutre The course content is designed to specially train students as qualified professional counsellors. Their existing repertoire of counselling skills and interventions (developed in the Certificate in Counselling Skills Course) will be further developed with emphasis being given to each skill according to the particular theoretical persuasion (i.e. Person Centred). Successful completion of this course will not automatically qualify any person for acceptance as an accredited member of the BACP. The course subscribes to BACP Ethical Framework for good Practice in Counsellling and Psychotherapy. There are 7 Units and counselling Placement Component. Unit Title 1 Professional and Organisational Issues 2 Counselling in a Diverse Society 3 Counselling Theory 4 Advanced Counselling Skills 5 Self Awareness 6 Counselling Specialisms 7 Counselling Placement Plus Individual and Group Tutorial Time Information provided or adapted from ABC guidelines 2002.
