This course is designed for individuals wishing to enter the hospitality industry. The two mandatory units develop knowledge of the hospitality industry and career options available and the practical units develop skills in food preparation, good service, customer service and personal presentation. The industry provides a large number of job opportunities including employment within coffee shops, cafes, work canteens, motorway service stations, care homes, hospital kitchens etc. The course includes: Practical Cookery, Food Service in Coffee Shops, Health and Food Safety, Literacy and Numeracy Skills.
